Christina ‘Rocks the Vote’ for her son
Pop star Christina Aguilera was on the Larry King Live show last Wednesday night and talked about her upcoming public service announcement for Rock the Vote. In the PSA Christina will be holding her 5 month old son Max in her arms and singing, “America the Beautiful”. The soul singer was quoted saying, “It was really important for me to get involved and get excited about this election in particular, being such one of change and new development for our country and for the future of my son.”
Aguilera admitted to being embarrassed about not voting until the 2004 election, but defended herself by saying that politics were not talked about in her household growing up.
I think that is true of a lot of households. Since our children are our future, we should be speaking to them about the importance of politics and their personal vote.
